A part of Queenzieburn in North Lanarkshire, Chapel Green takes its name from an ancient chapel which once stood here. It has been the site of a school since the early 19th C. and the minor poet John Kennedy (1789 - 1833) was a school-master here. Chapel Green Primary School is still to be found on Mill Road.
