Now swallowed up within the New Town of Glenrothes in Fife, Over Stenton is shown as a fermtoun with a smithy on the First Edition of the Ordnance Survey map. Today, this is the site of the Kingdom Caravan Park, a mile (1.7 km) south of Glenrothes town centre, while Over Stenton Park extends to the east. Viewfield Industrial Estate lies to the west and the old farm of Nether Stenton is still to be found to the south. The residential district of Stenton, lying a half-mile (1 km) to the east southeast, takes its name from this locality.
