Craiglinn

A small district of Cumbernauld in North Lanarkshire, Craiglinn lies immediately to the southeast of Smithstone, 1½ miles (2.5 km) west of the town centre. Craiglinn is shown as small fermtoun on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of 1864 but by the middle of the 20th C. had grown into a small settlement associated with the nearby Mosswater Coal Mine and Westfield Quarries. These houses remain, now part of a private housing development.
