Lookaboutye

Lookaboutye is a location lying a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the south of Clackmannan. Robert the Bruce is said to have lost a glove while hunting here in the 14th Century and asked one of his servants to search for it with instruction "look aboot ye". This incident and the place-name gave rise to the motto of Clackmannanshire. Lookaboutye Cottage lies at the bottom of Lookaboutye Brae.
