Lying on the south coast of the Rhinns of Islay, on the island of Islay in Argyll and Bute, Nerabus lies 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Port Charlotte and overlooks Loch Indaal to the east. The name includes the distinctively Norse suffix 'bus' meaning farm or homestead.
