Portnacroish

Argyll and Bute

Located on the shores of Loch Laich, an inlet on the southeastern shore of Loch Linnhe, the village of Portnacroish lies 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Port Appin. Appin Railway Station opened here in 1903 on the Ballachulish branch of the Callander and Oban Railway, but the line closed in 1966. Castle Stalker (Castle Stalcaire) lies on an islet within Loch Laich and opposite Portnacroish.
