A locality on the northwest coast of Kintyre, Ballochroy (also Balochroy) lies 4 miles (6.5 km) northeast of Tayinloan, the settlement looks southwest towards Gigha. Nearby is a group of standing stones. The Ballochroy Burn flows west through the Ballochroy Glen into the Sound of Gigha.
