A small village on the east coast of the island of Seil in Argyll and Bute, Balvicar sits on Balvicar Bay, facing the Sound of Seil. Balvicar is 2 miles (4 km) south of Clachan Bridge, the "Bridge over the Atlantic" that links the Scottish mainland with Seil.
