Fordyce


Aberdeenshire

The village of Fordyce is located within Aberdeenshire, 2½ miles (4 km) southwest of Portsoy. Sitting in the shadow of Durn Hill, Fordyce dates from at least 1272 and boasts its own castle. Now a conservation village, Fordyce is renowned as a centre of outstanding architectural and historical interest and has become a popular tourist resort. The Joiner's Workshop is one of the attractions of the village.
