A location in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Crathie is situated on the A93 road close to the River Dee and to Balmoral Castle which is accessed via a bridge built by Prince Albert. The main feature of Crathie is its church which dates from 1895 and is attended by members of the Royal Family when staying at Balmoral. In the churchyard of Crathie Kirk is the grave of John Brown, Queen Victoria's 'devoted and faithful attendant'.
