Angus

A location in west Angus, Eassie lies in the valley of Strathmore, 2 miles (3 km) west of Glamis. Outside the old church of Eassie, just north of the A 94 road from Forfar to Coupar Angus, stands a Pictish cross-slab dating from the 8th Century. The farmhouse of Castleton of Eassie is enclosed within the earthwork remains of a 12th-13th-century castle. Eassie Primary School lies 2 miles (3 km) to the southwest, next to Balkeerie. Eassie lies within the united parishes of Eassie and Nevay, Eassie lying to the north and Nevay to the south.
