Gallatown

(Gallowstown)
Fife

A northern suburb of Kirkcaldy, Fife, Gallatown was a separate village until 1876 when it was absorbed into the royal burgh. Originally called Gallowstown it was scene of public executions in mediaeval times. Nails were formerly manufactured here, but today it has its own industrial estate (Randolph Industrial Estate) and an Ice Rink.
