A location in the Stewartry of Dumfries and Galloway, Kirkconnell lies just west of the Tarff Water, 2 miles (3 km) north northwest of Ringford and 5½ miles (9 km) west southwest of Castle Douglas. Kirkconnell Moor and the Towers of Kirkconnell lie to the south and to the north, on a stream flowing eastwards out of Loch Mannoch, are the waterfalls of Kirkconnell Linn.
