One of the three 'Eastern Villages' of Stirling Council Area, Fallin is situated near a bend of the River Forth 4 miles (6.5 km) east of Stirling. The village was developed in the 20th century to house miners working in the Polmaise and Bandeath Collieries, but is now largely a residential settlement.
