A small linear hamlet of the Inverness district of Highland Council Area, Lochgarthside lies on the northern shore of Loch Mhor (part of which was formerly known as Loch Garth before being expanded into the present-day reservoir) 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Foyers and on the southeastern side of Glen Mor.
