Uig

Highland

The village of Uig is located at the head of Uig Bay, which lies on the western side of the Trotternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye, Highland Council Area. Overlooking Uig Bay and Loch Snizort to the east, this village has the rivers of Rha and Conon pass through it. Glen Uig, which runs eastward, carries the waters of the River Conon.

Uig represents a one of the main access points to the Outer Hebrides, with regular ferry connections to Tarbert on Harris and Lochmaddy on North Uist.
