Leebotten

(Leebitten)
Shetland

A village in the Sandwick district on the east coast of the Mainland of Shetland, Leebotten (also Leebitten) overlooks the Wick of Sandsayre 10 miles (16 km) south southwest of Lerwick. Copper and iron were mined here during the 19th century. A tourist ferry leaves from here for the island of Mousa.
