A hamlet of E Aberdeenshire, Cammachmore lies immediately to the west of the A90 trunk road, a mile (1.4 km) north northwest of Newtonhill. Cammachmore Bay lies at Downies on the North Sea coast, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the east. Cammachmore Amateur Football Club was founded in 1983.
