River Tweed (Upper) near Drumelzier

A village in a parish of the same name in the Scottish Borders, Drumelzier (sometimes Drummelzier) lies on the Drumelzier Burn near its confluence with the Tweed, 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Broughton and 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Peebles. Drumelzier Law rises to 669m (2191 feet) and nearby is Drumelzier Castle a former stronghold of the Tweedie family. Merlin the magician is said to be buried near the meeting of the Powsail Burn with the Tweed.
