Craigielaw

East Lothian

A community in East Lothian, Craigielaw overlooks Aberlady Bay a half-mile (0.8 km) west of Aberlady. Originally this comprised estate houses and farm buildings associated with Gosford House (Wemyss and March Estates) who still have their estate office here. Craigielaw Golf Course lies to the northeast; its clubhouse opened in 2003, sympathetically converted from a byre which formed part of the farm steading. Craigielaw Park is a gated community comprising immense but characterless homes built c.1999.
