A small scattered settlement lying to the north of the Hill of Nigg in Easter Ross, Chapelhill is located a half-mile (0.8 km) southeast of Ankerville Corner. The settlement includes a disused B-listed church (built as Nigg United Presbyterian Church by Alexander Ross, 1872, on the site of an older secessionist church), a cemetery and war memorial, together with a few houses. Missionary Rev. Dr. John Ross was born nearby at Rarichie in 1842 and his family worshipped in the church at Chapelhill.
