Westrigg


West Lothian

A small former mining village of West Lothian, Westrigg lies to the east of the village of Blackridge, close to the border with North Lanarkshire, and 2 miles (3 km) north of Harthill. Blackridge Railway Station lies immediately to the south, on the site of the former Westrigg Colliery. This was the largest mine in the area, employing 554 men in 1910.
