Migdale

Highland

A small scattered settlement in SE Sutherland, Migdale lies a mile (1.5 km) east of Bonar Bridge close to Loch Migdale. A unique collection of Bronze Age jewellery, known as the Migdale Hoard, was found nearby in 1900. The hoard was notified to the Society of Antiquaries by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie (1835 - 1919) and is now in the care of the National Museums of Scotland.
