Ormsaigbeg

Highland

A crofting township with extends to the southwest of Ormsaigmore in Ardnamurchan, Ormsaigbeg lies on the western shore of Kilchoan Bay. Originally there were a cluster of houses here forming a clachan, with land held in common and farmed by the runrig system, the evidence for the strip-fields of lazy beds can still be seen. In the early 19th C., the landowner removed the clachan and replaced it with individual crofts.
