Shetland

A hamlet at the head of Lax Firth on the east coast of the Shetland Mainland, Laxfirth is located a quarter-mile (0.4 km) north of Gott and 4 miles (6.5 km) northwest of Lerwick. Laxfirth Bridge crosses the channel linking Lax Firth and Strand Loch, while the Ward of Laxfirth rises to 97m (318 feet) to the north. There is a pier at Laxfirth House, which dates from the 18th C. and is C-listed .
