Lunna


Shetland

Located on a finger of land which extends outwards from the northeast coast of the Shetland Mainland, terminating in Lunna Ness, the hamlet of Lunna lies between West Lunna Voe and East Lunna Voe, 2½ miles (4 km) north northeast of Vidlin. Lunna Kirk dates from the 12th century and remains in use for worship, while Lunna House was built in 1660 and remained the home of the Hunter family until 1893. There is a jetty in West Lunna Voe.
