A small settlement on the western shore of Loch Seaforth, Ardvourlie (Gael: Aird a' Mhulaidh) lies on the A 859 road just to the south of the boundary between North Harris and Lewis and 6 miles (10 km) north northeast of Tarbert. Ardvourlie Castle is a 19th-century shooting lodge surrounded by trees. Ardvourlie Bay is an indentation in Loch Seaforth, opposite Seaforth Island.
