A crofting township on the NW coast of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Ballantrushal (alternatively Ballantrushel, Gael: Baile an Truiseil lies a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Shadar and 2½ miles (4 km) north northeast of Barvas. The Trushel Stone, Scotland's largest prehistoric standing stone, is located here.
