A small settlement in the far west of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Miavaig (also Meavig, Gael: Miabhaig or Miabhig) lies at the eastern end of Glen Valtos, on the shore of Loch Miavaig, 2 miles (3 km) east of Timsgarry. There is a jetty and a slipway here on the southern shore of the loch. At the head of the loch are Uig Parish Church, a Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland and Langabhat Medical Practice, with the office of Bhaltos Community Trust (owners of the Bhaltos Estate) occupying the former community fire station beyond.
