A settlement at the southern end of Mainland Shetland, Noss lies to the west of Loch Spiggie, 4½ miles (7 km) northwest of Sumburgh. Noss Hill rises to 112m (367 feet) to the south of Noss and to the west are the cliffs of the Noup o' Noss.
