A small forestry settlement in N Dumfries and Galloway, Dundeugh is located at the junction of the Polmaddy Burn and the Water of Deugh, 4 miles (6.5 km) southeast of Carsphairn and a similar distance north of St John's Town of Dalry. Comprising two neat rows of attractive wooden houses, the settlement was constructed to house Forestry Commission workers. Dundeugh Hill lies at the centre of a riverine island to the northeast, which is also the site of Dundeugh Castle.
