A location in the N Scottish Borders, Cowieslinn takes its name from a notable waterfall on the Cowieslinn Burn 2½ miles (4 km) north of Eddleston and 6 miles (10 km) east of West Linton. In addition to a small settlement, there are two quarries located here.
