(Bogha Glas)
Western Isles

A small settlement on the A 859 road on the west side of Loch Seaforth, Bowglass (Gael: Bogha Glas) lies 7 miles (11 km) north northeast of Tarbert. The river here, the River Vigadale (Gael: Abhainn Bhioigadail), represents part of the border between Lewis and Harris, which runs from the head of Loch Resort, to Loch Seaforth at Bowglass.
