A location in Central Perth and Kinross, Staredam lies 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Waterloo and a similar distance southwest of Murthly Castle. The location includes a small loch, Stare Dam, and a pair of standing stones in a field by the entrance to Muirheadstone Farm.
