A location at the southwestern end of the Spango Valley in Inverclyde, Dunrod lies next to the railway 1¼ miles (2 km) northeast of Inverkip. The Kip Water flows through the Dunrod Glen to the southwest and Dunrod Well and Dunrod Hill lies a mile (1.5 km) to the east southeast.
