Clibberswick

Shetland

A small settlement on the north shore of Harold's Wick on the east coast of the Shetland island of Unst, Clibberswick is located a half-mile (0.8 km) east of Haroldswick and a similar distance south southeast of Valsgarth. Britain's only working talc mine was operating here in the early 21st century, exploiting the unusual geology of the area. The remains of a Viking soapstone quarry are also located here.
