A settlement on the south shore of Loch Etive, Achlonan lies immediately to the south of Brochroy and a quarter-mile (0.4 km) northeast of Taynuilt in Argyll and Bute. The settlement relies on Taynuilt, on the opposite bank of the River Nant, for its facilities.
