Dry Harbour

(Acairseid-thioram)
Highland

An abandoned township on the island of Rona in the Inner Hebrides, Dry Harbour (Gael: Acairseid-thioram) is located in the centre of the island, on a bay of the same name. Until it was abandoned in the 1920s, this was Rona's principal settlement and the site of a school, which once had a roll of 30 pupils. Some cottages have been renovated to provide tourist accommodation.
