A small settlement on the northern shore of the Solway Firth, Browhouses lies to the east of DM Eastriggs - a military ammunition store - 1¼ miles (2.5 km) southwest of the hamlet of Rigg in Dumfries and Galloway. The settlement principally comprises two rows of former fisherman's cottages. Browhouses Bay lies to the east.
