A small settlement and locality on the left bank of the Quharity Burn in W Angus, Auldallan is located 5½ miles (9 km) northwest of Kirriemuir. The Burn of Auldallan descends through the settlement from the slopes of Cat Law to the north. There is a farm at Knowehead of Auldallan to the west, while the Craig of Auldallan rise steeply to the northwest.
