A location in E Angus, West Hills is located 2¾ miles (4.5 km) south of Letham and 7 miles (11 km) west northwest of Arbroath. Located here are a group of farms; (Cotton of) West Hills, Westbank and Clearbank West Hills. The summit of West Hills rises to 198m / 649 feet and is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed in 1937 for the re-triangulation of Great Britain.
