Guard Bridge, a village in Leuchars parish, NE Fife, on the left bank of the broadening Eden, 4 miles WNW of St Andrews. It takes its name from a six-arched bridge, built in the first half of the 15th century by Bishop Henry Wardlaw; and it has a post office under Cupar-Fife, a station on the St Andrews branch of the North British, brickyards, and a U.P. mission church (1882; 200 sittings).
