A summit on the border between South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders Council Areas, Culter Cleuch Shank rises to 549m (1801 feet) to the west of the River Tweed, a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Coomb Dod and 6 miles (10 km) east of Abington. Plantation forest covers its eastern slopes.
