Gearr Garry
(River Gearr Garry)

Representing the initial section of the River Garry, to the north of the Great Glen, the Gearr Garry (occasionally the River Gearr Garry) forms below the dam at the eastern end of Loch Quoich and flows southeast for 2 miles (3 km) to merge with the River Kingie at Bunkingie a half-mile (1 km) southwest of the settlement of Kingie. Its name means the 'short' Garry in Gaelic. It forms an aqueduct as part of the Garry-Moriston Hydro-Electric Power Scheme.
