Muck

A sparsely populated island of the Inner Hebrides, Muck lies 3 miles (5 km) southwest of the island of Eigg, across the Sound of Eigg to the northeast. One of the Small Isles, the others being Canna, Rum and Eigg, Muck has an area of 559 ha (1381 acres) and reaches a highest point of 137m (451 feet) at Beinn Airein to the southwest. It is the smallest and flattest of this island group. The island is run as one large farm and the 30 or so inhabitants are centred around the harbour of Port Mor on the southeastern coastline.
