An expansion of the River Thurso, Loch More lies 9 miles (15 km) southwest of Halkirk in the Caithness Flow Country. This shallow loch also receives the Sleach Water from the west and the Allt Backlass from the south, together with several other minor streams. Flow from the loch is controlled by a dam.
