Common Hill

The highest of a group of hills at the centre of the Hagshaw Hill Wind Farm in the W of South Lanarkshire, Common Hill reaches a height of 488m (1601 feet) 2¾ miles (4.5 km) west of Douglas. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar. The other hills in this group are Avermarks Hill, Broomerside Hill and Hagshaw Hill. There is another Common Hill 5½ miles (9 km) to the north northwest.
