A small river in the east of the island of Islay, the Claggain River rises as headstreams to the west of Beinn Bheigeir, and flows southeast for 4 miles (6.5 km) to fall into the sea at Claggain Bay. A 2012 survey showed the river supports a healthy population of brown trout, together with a few salmon.
