Loch Staoineig


(Loch Staonaig)

A small loch which lies amongst the rolling rocky hillocks of Iona in the Inner Hebrides, Loch Staoineig (or Staonaig) is located 1½ miles (2.5 km) southwest of Baile Mor and represents the only standing water on the island. The path extending south to St. Columba's Bay passes the eastern end of the loch.
