Usinish
(Ushenish, Uisinis)

A headland and peninsula on the remote east coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Usinish (also Ushenish, Gael: Uisinis) is located 2½ miles (4 km) southeast of Loch Skiport. David and Thomas Stevenson built a lighthouse here in 1857. Glen Usinish and Usinish Bay lie to the southwest.
